SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH and EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT CREDITS
SR & ED is a government incentive program for Canadian businesses to develop new or improved products or processes. The federal government pays out almost two billion dollars annually under this program. It is estimated that for every dollar paid, two dollars go unclaimed because companies are not aware of their full eligibility.
If your business is a Canadian-controlled private corporation, and you have tried to:
- Develop a new product or incrementally modify an existing product
- Increase your product yield , or reduce your product costs by increasing your manufacturing process efficiency
- Create a tool to allow you to build something faster cheaper or better
- Modify a purchased piece of equipment to get it to do what it was not originally intended to do
You may be eligible to receive a refundable investment tax credit (ITC) based on your qualified SR&ED expenditures. Our TMG SR&ED office has trained and dedicated SR&ED Engineering and SR&ED Policy staff ready to serve your needs. Our Track Record: Every claim submitted has been approved
FARM ACCOUNTING
Farmers may have some unique accounting practices and income tax reporting options. We are experienced with the unique options available. Additionally, the Federal and Provincial government provides income support programs for farmers to stabilize income. The current, most widely known program is the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program. We can assist you in preparing your application and reporting forms and assessing whether you have received your fair share.
