Michael Stead

As one of the newer members of the Turner Moore LLP team,  Michael brings four decades of multi-sector accounting experience to the firm, serving clients across the GTA from Ajax, Ontario. Michael now still serves those clients based out of Trent Lakes, Ontario.

Jumping right into a life-long career in accounting in the early 1980s, Michael’s first position with an established Toronto-based accounting firm exposed him to all aspects of financial strategy, taxation, and compliance matters from day one. Receiving his CGA designation in 1989, Michael solidified his position as a trusted financial professional and has never looked back.

With an unwavering commitment to financial excellence and a wealth of expertise in the complex world of accounting, Michael has a thirst for knowledge and a passion for numbers. Michael’s client-centric approach and ability to demystify even the most complex finance concepts has secured the loyalty of long-term clients — forging strong partnerships, with some in place for as long as 35 years (and counting).

In terms of giving back to the community, Michael has donated his financial expertise to local junior hockey teams, where all 3 of his sons have been team members over time.

When ‘off the grid,’ Michael and his wife enjoy their time in the Trent Lakes region of Ontario where they live, with all that the beautiful area has to offer. Michael and his family have also developed an affinity for the Dutch side of the island of St. Maarten, which is an annual vacation destination.
