Turner Moore provides more than a financial check on your business; we give you continual confidence through customized financial statement services.

With more than 25 years of financial statement assistance for Ontario’s businesses, Turner Moore has become a provincial leader in providing accounting answers that help to give you confidence in your financial statements and position.

Audit and Review Services

Turner Moore offers three comprehensive options for preparing your financial statements:

Compilation Engagements

A compilation engagement involves compiling unaudited financial information into financial statements, schedules or reports based on information supplied by the client.

The statements include information based on the accounting policies adopted by the business and disclosed in the financial statement.

A compilation may be chosen where financial statements are prepared for the exclusive use of your management or for tax purposes.

Audit Services

An audit is a type of assurance service that can provide you with accurate insights into your current financial situation.

Audits can be required by banks, investors, governments, funders, and charities, but they can also be essential for businesses of any size that have unique needs. For example, an external audit by Turner Moore can help to detect fraud and even improve your processes, which can help reduce your costs and increase your profit.

Turner Moore’s audit process involves studying and evaluating your company’s system of internal control, inspecting your documents and reviewing your assets. We will make enquiries within and outside your company, and we will gather the evidence necessary to determine whether your financial statements present a fair picture of your company’s financial position and activities during the auditing period.

Review Engagements

Where an audit is not required, or shareholders have waived the appointment of an auditor, financial statements may be prepared on a review basis to provide limited assurance that the financial information conforms to generally accepted accounting principles.

Turner Moore’s accountants will acquire knowledge of your business through enquiries, analytical processes, discussions with officials and a review of its financial statements. When we are satisfied that the financial statements are not misleading, a report will preface the financial statements.
