When you think about Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the first thing that comes to mind is accountants, right? Ok, maybe not. But I am personally an avid rider and a chartered professional accountant, so pleased to meet you. Oh, and to keep things interesting, I also speak Swedish.

What does any of this have to do with accounting services, you ask? Well. A lot.

Over 25+ years providing tax, accounting and advisory services to individuals and businesses, I’ve helped navigate clients through some of the most challenging terrain imaginable, including tax audits, mergers & acquisitions, re-structuring, downsizing, expansions, and other curves in the road. In the same way that my Harley gives me the freedom to go to places no car could ever go, the out-of-the-box approach that defines my work together with an enthusiasm for implementing winning change management strategies makes sure my clients always get to the summit.

Like my bike, and from many years in progressive senior financial roles in private industry, I also get around, and have developed expertise across a wide range of industries, including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, retail, manufacturing, financial services, private banking, equipment leasing, real estate, insurance, pharmaceuticals, information technology, health care, foodservice, fitness clubs, and various owner-managed businesses.

In today’s highly regulated, competitive and demanding economy — and even without the perfect storm brought by a global pandemic — you have enough to worry about keeping yourself and your business on the road. Things like wealth preservation strategies, estate planning, effective tax management, are more important than ever.

Back to Sweden and a perfect segway into my credentials. I spent 18 wonderful years living, working and studying business administration (BBA/MBA/Six Sigma) in Stockholm — a time that has shaped my world view in many ways (you’ll need to get in touch for more on that story … ). Returning to Canada in 2002, I received my CMA designation in 2009, CPA in 2013, and, because I’m that guy, I’m working on Master of Laws (Tax) at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and will wrap that up in 2021.

Let’s connect. We look forward to hearing from you.
